Mission Statement
The purpose of MAC Ministries is to model and multiply discipleship for the glory of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, through leading, training, equipping and encouraging others to be intentional.
Vision
MAC Ministries is a “ministry of availability” dedicated to the Great Commission found in Matthew 28: 19 – 20. We believe that modeling and multiplying discipleship is best achieved through the powerful combination of authentic relationships and exposure to Scripture.
Our vision is to make the Great Commission an achievable reality for the common man. We will realize this vision by:
- Leading and encouraging individuals to be intentional about growing their relationship with Jesus Christ
- Leading, training, and equipping churches to be more intentionally focused on discipleship in the life of their congregation.
We will know we’ve achieved this vision as men surrender their lives to God, model discipleship and multiply disciples in communities around the world.
Core – Values
Intentionality = must exist to carry out the Great Commission. Just like how we use intentionality in our marriage, at work, or other relationships, we must be intentional in our approach to discipleship.
Matthew 28: 19-20: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
Growing vs. Gathering = our commitment is to disciple making. The end goal is not just gathering but embracing the tension and long-term commitment to “changed” lives.
John 15: 8: This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
Knowing vs. Knowing About = growing up in a church offered the opportunity to be exposed to Scripture and Bible stories that allowed me to know more about God. But the “joy” and growth of my relationship with Christ has evolved in KNOWING our Lord with a level of intimacy.
John 14: 6: Jesus answered, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Relationships vs. Programs = changed lives comes about “NOT” from one encounter but through a relationship that results in transformation. We truly believe that the core of discipleship is one’s relationship with Christ.
John 15: 5: I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man abides in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
Walking vs. Fixing = being a ministry of availability means sacrifice, surrender, and submission. MAC Ministries is incapable of changing people, we believe only God can change people. However, we believe and work towards being a conduit for this change. This is best achieved through the commitment to walk with others.
Hebrews 10: 23-25: Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
