Below are some pictures from an overnight retreat that my Tuesday night small group enjoyed recently. This group of 11 men started meeting back in July. This is a unique group in that most all of the men have known each other since the 2nd grade. It has really been a privilege to lead and be a part of this group.
As you can tell with the pictures, these friendships are not just deep, but 30+ years old. The bonfire time was enlightening as we shared where we see the Lord at work in our lives. I see a long future for this group and pray that God will continue to use these special relationships in spurring each other on as disciples of Christ.
I want to thank the Barfields for letting us use their house for this event. As someone mentioned, and many concurred, "I believe I came here for Senior Skip Day!" I'm glad to say that this time, no one got in trouble!
